Mental Health America

I am excited to be receiving a mental health champion award. In August, I am attending the National Council of State Legislatures and Mental Health America's Regional Policy Conference. I am humbled to be recognized at this meeting by Mental Health America for my work in the Washington State Senate advocating for needed mental health services. Mental Health America has educated millions about mental health conditions and has worked tirelessly to remove the stigma around mental health since 1909. I will continue to do all I can to ensure that we work together to remove barriers to mental health care in our state.
US Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg

What an exciting event last week! We were fortunate to have the opportunity to welcome US Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg to our area recently. It was an honor to join US Senator Maria Cantwell, Congresswoman Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, State Representatives Sharon Wylie, Paul Harris and Kevin Waters in discussing our transportation projects, progress, and needs for the future. Transportation is essential for connecting us to others, creating jobs and a stronger economy by moving goods and freight efficiently, and ensuring our preparedness for emergencies. This is why I continue to make replacement of the Interstate Bridge a top priority, and am grateful for Secretary Buttigieg's visit.
Port of Vancouver Terminal 1 Waterfront Project

The Port of Vancouver recently celebrated progress on the Terminal 1 Vancouver waterfront project. I enjoyed sharing at this event the work accomplished this past Legislative Session in securing an additional $3.5 million in funding for the continuation of this project. This funding allows us to move closer toward the eventual future vision of a public market on this site with amenities to encourage a place for everyone to enjoy. In addition to continuing to open up access to our beautiful waterfront, this funding will help support new jobs and economic opportunities.
Clark College Alumni Event

I am beyond thrilled at being chosen as one of Clark College's outstanding alumni. At the most recent Clark College Foundation Outstanding Alumni event, I was one of Clark College's former students recognized with an outstanding alumni award. Clark College is at the heart of our community helping support students in reaching for their goals. I am so proud to be a graduate and a forever member of Penguin Nation!
